The hot air generator consists of a robust outer shell housing a series of tubes. The fuel is burnt in the furnace and the flue gases are passed inside the tubes. The process air is passed over the tubes to achieve a controlled heating at a desired temperature.

Thermair is a smoke tube design, where flue gases pass through tubes and hot air flows over them for efficient heat transfer. The ventilation blower fitted alongside circulates fresh air over the combustion chamber and the set of smoke tubes, the fresh air travels through its pathway along the hot smoke tubes for the desired heat transfer. In oil-fired or gas-fired options, an imported mono-block type fully automatic burner is provided for combustion of fuel.
